Hey, I’m SHANTÉ (@pilatesoulsista)
I’m a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor via Balanced Body and the founder of PilateSoul.
I created PilateSoul because I wanted a space that feels easy and comfortable to walk into, where you can just show up and be yourself, no matter who you are or what you’ve got going on.
I teach from a somatic approach. I focus on proper form, alignment, breath work, mind–body connection, to help you move with more awareness, control, and confidence over time- on or off the mat.
Music has always been a big part of my life. I grew up around it- my mom’s record player in the mornings, weekly DJ lessons with my cousin, making mixtapes on TDK cassettes, digging through crates at Sounds of Market. Music has always been more than sound to me. It’s feeling, memory, energy.
I came to both Pilates and music through my own need to reset. Pilates helped me understand my body and what it’s capable of. Music has always helped me slow down and clear my head. They gave me something I didn’t know I was looking for, they bring you back into your body and help you reset.
That’s what I try to offer in every session: the thing that brought me back to myself.
